Pointless Games Ch 1. MelloxReader

It was a usual day for you, you where sitting at a table outside with your friends. Next to you was Matt, he was your best friend since you was a kid. Although he tried to hit on you a lot you didn't care, it was just his personality.

You looked over to him with you (e/c) eye's, watching him as he winked at a new girl. Every week he had a new girl. He couldn't keep a serious relationship he just got bored. But even so, you still loved him to bit, he was like a brother to you.

To the other side of you was Light, he was getting too close you your liking. You sighed. Why couldn't he just tell Misa he didn't feel the same? Next to him getting way to obsessive was Misa, she was alright but you couldn't talk to her a lot as she gave you a serious headache.

You moved you gaze over to the two boys opposite them. It was L and Near, Near didn't usually talk and wasn't loud which made it peaceful to hang around by him, he was playing with some dice stacking them up into a pile. He really did have some weird habits.

Next to him was L, you loved to talk to him. He told you everything he knew, you where one of the few people he trusted. He had really strange eating habits but it didn't bother you, not even the way he sat. you just found it amusing.

Next to L and opposite you was Mello. You weren't that close with Mello and didn't really talk, He was more of Matt and L's friend. But to you he was the most beautiful person you had  seen.

Your (e/c) eyes gazed over his features, his piercing blue eyes that could stare deep into your soul and steal your breath away. His blonde hair that just touched his shoulders and almost covered his eyes you loved so much.  

You move your gave down to his lips, those lips that only belonged to his chocolate.  At times you were jealous of that chocolate, wishing it could be you. You lowered you eyes to the leather that stuck to his body, making his--

"___ What are you staring at?"

You snapped out of you gaze confused, wait he didn't catch me staring did he? Oh crap..

"Huh?"

You raised an eye brow pretending you didn't have a clue what he was on about. The blonde boy looked at you and sighed earning an amused look from Matt.

"I said, what are you staring at?"

He pulled out a chocolate bar ripping open the silver foil, before licking the corner and devouring it before he moved to the next piece. You gulped, you couldn't take it. How was you meant to cover it up? He obviously saw you. But the chocolate gave you an idea.

"I was daydreaming about the hot chocolate that's calling my name after classes."

This earned a massive smirk from Matt sat beside you and he finally moved away from one of his fan girls. Mello rose a brow before looking at Matt.

"Yeah, we was planning to go after class, you should soooo come Mels"

The smirk still remained on his face and you looked at him with a death glare, the one thing you hated about the redhead was that he could read you like a book. He once caught you staring at the blonde and confronted you about it later on, since then every time you spoke he either got involved or had a giant smirk.

Like now he had both.  I guess that was the what was included in what he would call his 'Best friend package'. you sighed. You really could never win once Matt had made his mind up. But you would have to thank him later since he saved your butt.

"Sure"

You were shocked, Mello just agreed to it? You had no idea where you was planning to go but where ever it was, it better be good. The boy loved chocolate so it had to be great.

The hours where dragging, you was in your last lesson and had 10 minute until it was over. You watched the clock nervously, what if you messed up later? It could ruin everything.

"Hey relax"

You looked over to Matt who was next to you, he had a massive smile on his face. He was drumming his fingers against the desk, you could tell he needed a cigarette as that's what he usually did when he was craving one. You gave him a slight smile before looking down at the desk your (h/c) bangs covering your eyes.

"___, Look I know where to go so just chill, it will be fine I can make sure of it."

He gave you a little wink and you laughed. Damn he really knew how to cheer you up. Before long the bell went off and quickly shoved all your books in you bag turning to Matt. He gave a slight nod and you walked towards the entrance.

As you excited the building you could smell the nicotine from the cigarette Matt just lit up, you looked up at him shaking your head. You didn't agree with the habit but didn't bother him about it. All of a sudden a massive smirk was planted on his face.

You looked up to see the blonde boy waiting by the entrance. He was leaning against the wall holding his bag over his shoulder, in the other hand was a chocolate bar which was almost finished. You felt a blush come onto your face as you realised you was staring again.

"Ready to go Mels?"

The smirk was still planted on his face, you wished he would stop that, it was really bugging you. You could tell he was up to something.

"Sure, where are we going?"

He looked straight into your eyes and you could feel a blush rising on your cheeks again. I really need to stop blushing! You turned to Matt giving him a questioning look. Matt just smiled and started to walk.

"Follow me"

You had been walking for about 10 minutes, Matt and Mello were ahead whispering about something until he finally came to a stop, you looked at the little café, it was really beautiful. You looked at Matt and nodded before entering inside and taking a seat. Mello sat down and Matt went to go order, damn this was so awkward…

The smell was so intoxicating, it really drew you in, you could smell the fresh pastry and chocolate in the air.

"So…"

You looked up to see Mello glaring at you, you quickly looked down at your lap letting you (h/c) bangs cover your blush. You could feel his stare at you.
"It's smells really good don't you think?"

He hesitated and you looked up at him staring into his eyes.

"Y-yeahh"

It was silent. You where both staring into each others eyes. You didn't know what to talk about so you just stayed like that. It was nice. You heard a cough and you both looked away blushing. Matt set the drinks down and smirked.

"So, I'm having a party this Saturday, your both coming right?"

You looked to Matt and gave him a smile and a nod. His smirk just grew bigger and he looked to Mello who just nodded.

"Good, cause your both helping set up!"

Your (e/c) eyes widened. Why did he want help he never wanted help?

"Wait… what?"

He laughed and shook his head before pulling out a cigarette and lighting it up. Both yours a Mello's face showed disgust once the smell of nicotine reached your noses.

"Well I'm kinda busy… so I need you guys to do it"

You sighed.. He definitely is planning something… you nodded in defeat and took a sip of your hot chocolate. The drink was soothing, you could feel all your worries go away with just a sip. You downed the rest of it rather quickly.

You looked up to see Mello staring at you with his mouth wide open and a blush on his face. You raised a brow.

"Y-you.. Have chocolate on your lips.."

You blushed madly and looked at Matt who just had the biggest smirk on his face ever. For a minute he looked evil. But you brushed it off. Yeah you was going to kill him later…
