Pointless Games Ch 3. MelloxReader

You awoke to the shouting in one of the other rooms. You rubbed your (e/c) eyes before getting out of bed. Listening closely you could tell it was Matt's voice. You yawned and exited the room to be greeted by L, Light and Misa. They must of stayed over night too.

"Good morning, ____"

The raven haired man greeted with a smile, you said hello before sitting down next to him. He was eating cake in his usual position.

"L… How can you eat cake in the morning?"

You looked over at the raven haired man, but before he could answer all your attention was to Mello's room. Matt was shouting again.

"YOU FUCKING IDIOT! WHY DIDN'T YOU DO IT?!"

"I TRIED MATT! NOW SHUT THE FUCK UP BEFORE YOU WAKE EVERYONE UP!"

You gave a questioning look to the others after the yelling had calmed down. Light sighed and pushed Misa of his arm before explaining.

"Well, it seems last night Mello was meant to tell a girl something… MISA GET OFF ME! Anyway.. they've been arguing for ages about it. He obviously has a crush on someone but couldn't say it. But its quite a surprise, I wouldn't of thought Mello was the type to have a crush on someone"

"Everyone has a crush Light…"

The brunette mumbled something to L under his breathe. You looked down at the floor before saying a simple 'Oh' it was so quiet that no one could hear. Except the certain raven haired man next to you. You sighed and got of the couch going back to the room you was staying in.

Once you was in the room, you closed the door and put all your weight onto it. Your mind was replaying Light's words from earlier. Without realising tears where falling from you (e/c) eyes and down your face. You let all you weight fall as you slid down the door burring your face in your knee's.

After about 15 minutes of just sitting there you got up and changed and got your stuff ready. You just wanted to go home and forget everything that had happened. You picked up your bag and opened the door to see everyone sitting down including Matt and Mello.

"____ You going already?"

"Yeh Matt… Sorry I just got some stuff to do…"

You looked down trying to hide the fact that you had been crying from everyone. But by the sounds of it, it didn't work. You heard someone get up and move towards you. You looked up to see Mello standing in front if you with worry in his eyes.

"I'll walk you home ____"

You just nodded and said your goodbyes and left with Mello behind you. Your house wasn't far away thankfully. You where walking in silence before the blonde broke it.

"Why where you crying?"

You sot you head up at him staring straight into his eyes with a questioning look.

"We could hear you…"

"Oh.."
"So why was you?"

You looked at him before turning your gaze away so he couldn't see the sorrow in your eyes.

"It doesn't matter…"

"Uhmmm ___ yes it does…"

"And why do you care?!"

Okay you didn't mean to snap at him. You was shocked that you did and so was he. You could see it in his eyes. Honestly you hated it when people questioned you about something you didn't want them to know.

"Because.."

"Because what Mello? Honestly don't you have better things to do then worry about me?"

Wrong move. You could see he was getting pissed by what you had said.

"Why do I need to explain why? And better things such as? Common tell me ____ because I'd really love to know…"

His voice was starting to get loader and you could tell he was trying to hold in the angry by how he was gritting his teeth.

"Oh I don't know? How about go find some of your fan girls and be all Mr. Perfect?"

"____ What the fuck?! I'm not like that! I don't even like having them around! So why would I want to do that?!"

"Oh look this is my house… Goodbye Mello have fun.."

He started following you to the door telling you to stop but before he could any closer you shut the door in his face and ran into your room. You dropped your bag and threw yourself onto the bed trying to stop the tears from falling.

Why did he care anyway? Stupid. How could I be so stupid to fall from him? Before you could get any deeper in your thoughts your phone went off. You unlocked it to se you had a new text from an unknown number. Opening it, it said;


'____, I'm really sorry.. I dint mean to shout at you. Can we just talk please?

Mello.'


You looked at it with a blank stare. He was apologizing? minutes after a fight? WAIT! How did he get my number? Oh my god… I'm going to kill you Matt…
